Humility is not in Mickey Rourke's vocabulary

“Iron Man 2” star Mickey Rourke is a great talent, but his ego seems to be greater. Check out this article by Jeanne Wolf from parade.com (http://omg.yahoo.com/news/mickey-rourke-i-have-respect-for-very-few-acto...). Here, Mr. Rourke talks about the perks of doing a major Hollywood movie over indie darlings like his career resurrecting “The Wrestler” and his lack of respect for young, average actors who happen to be box office draws. Look, dude, you're good, but you did a fair amount of shit while you played punchy with truck drivers in some boxing ring. Thank Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez and Darren Aronosky that they still remembered “Diner” and “Rumble Fish” and not “Double Team." Your comeback story is cool, but the fact that you’re kind of a douche is not.

I was standing next to Tom Savini (Horror effects master and Sex Machine) and Tony Todd (Candyman) at a convention a while back and Savini was talking shit about how Rourke was wanting to charge way too much to be in Grindhouse. I could swear at one point they both agreed that Rourke was an ass. Hehe
