Dating and Movie Watching Part 3: To continue or retire?

So what have we learned?  In the last two chapters (one and two), I've written that you can’t rely on movie trailers to tell you if the film is good or not.  You have to look past the gloss and the loud music to see if there is any quality in the film.

Super 8

J.J Abrams is a master of tease. Abrams, like his produced “Cloverfield”, brings an enticing trailer for his upcoming “Super 8” that fills us out with curiosity. Here, Mr. Rourke talks about the perks of doing a major Hollywood movie over indie darlings like his career resurrecting “The Wrestler” and his lack of respect for young, average actors who happen to be box office draws. Look, dude, you're good, but you did a fair amount of shit while you played punchy with truck drivers in some boxing ring. Thank Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez and Darren Aronosky that they still remembered “Diner” and “Rumble Fish” and not “Double Team." Your comeback story is cool, but the fact that you’re kind of a douche is not.
