Lookout presents The Runaways: Twilight Girls sink their fangs in Rock and Roll!

Lookout presents The Runaways

“Twilight” sirens Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning find better stuff to do than become enamored by personality deficient vampires in “The Runaways”, a rock bio based on the group by the title name that featured legendary rockers Cherie Currie(Fanning), Joan Jett(Stewart) and Lita Ford(Scout Taylor-Compton from the “Halloween” remakes). Directed by longtime video maker Floria Sigismondi, “The Runaways” made a big splash at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Why wouldn’t it, the stars of the era’s biggest romance fall the all too old mantra of sex, drugs and Rock and Roll(it’s a rather easy sell, if you ask us).

Alice in Snoozerland

Alice in Wonderland, Tim Burton, Bitter Balcony, Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bohnam Carter, Crispin Glover, Alan Rickman, Anne Hathaway, Disney Alice in Wonderland

It's likely you've already heard other reviewers bashing "Alice in Wonderland" for a number of reasons. For Bitter Balcony, the film was an absolute snore – yet that's something we haven't seen mentioned in reviews often enough.

"Alice" begins in our heroine's childhood nightmares about falling down a rabbit hole. Flash forward and now she's a rebel going against the in status quo. No corset? The nerve. Alice spends the entire movie arguing against her battle against the Jabberwocky, only to ultimately fulfill it. Did we just spoil it? No. As with any Disney film, good always triumphs.

Can we Survive being dead center of an "Alien's vs Predator" situation? Stephen Taubman investigates

Can we Survive being dead center of an "Alien's vs Predator" situation? Stephen Taubman investigates

Mathematically, anything is possible. Then it’s basically a matter of probability that Aliens and Predators will come into our daily lives and duke it out.

Since we care about you all enough to let you save our collective asses we decided to pass on this great report by Stephen Taubman on to you. There are some of the valid arguments made within the link:

“Now even as an Aliens fan, I’ll admit Predator is pretty badass. His gear is just too good, and if it came to a 1-on-1 duel in an empty room between the two, I’ll give the win to Predator. For me, the Aliens’ strength comes from their ability to rapidly reproduce. So while a Predator may be able to take down a single Alien pretty easily, it’s a different story when he’s facing 10 to 20 of them. That’s why I think time is THE deciding factor for this grudge-match.”

Pop Tarantino: Check Out These Cool posters!

Pop Tarantino: Check Out These Cool posters!

Bitter Balcony checked out this web-site via imdb (we milked them pretty hard) and we were impressed by these pop art inspired posters created by Ibraheem Youssef based on Quentin Tarantino’s movies. Youssef is a Toronto based artist, whose works range from illustration to art design and almost everything in between. All of Quentin’s film posters get the abstract treatment, a special treat for any Tarantino nut.
