Alone in the Dark II (2008)
"Alone in the Dark II" is the sequel to Uwe Boll’s 2005 blunder of a film. One lives without the other and thankfully, this one isn’t directed by one of the worst directors of our time. That doesn't mean this is a step up though. The directing/writing team of Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer prove that two mediocre heads are only slightly better than one bad one.
The story: People are running away from something. They have a standoff in a restroom. Someone eavesdrops and gets cursed. The curse is passed on to another jackass. The new cursed jackass is captured by by a group who is fighting the curse. In short: we get a lot of uninteresting crap and jackasses who shoot at walls.
"Alone in the Dark II" stars a few "names" who never really were that big back in the day (Lance Henricksen, Danny Trejo, Michael Paré) some bad new ones including Rachel Specter as the hot chick with a sob story. Of course, she's uncontrollably attracted to the worst guy possible.
It's a shame the latest game's cinematic touch didn't match the budget for the film version.

Actually, I would recommend you run from it. The first one had some great production values, but it was UTTERLY boring and its Uwe Boll, so we can't expect much.
this is automatic stinker alarm. just by looking at the name of the movie.
game turned movie. horror theme. never heard the first one. now sequel.
I'd walk very slowly and carefully around this one.
