Tarantino's Top 20 since 1993

For whatever reason Tarantino has decided to do a top 20 list of movies since the time that he has been making movies.

Here is the video:

Here is the list:

1 - Battle Royale
2 - Anything Else
3 - Audition
4 - Blade - no not that Blade. I raised an eyebrow to this one too.
5 - Boogie Nights
6 - Dazed & Confused
7 - Dogville? Von Trier? Fine.
8 - Fight Club
9 - Fridays
10 - The Host - great creature feature
11 - The Insider - great soundtrack
12 - Joint Security Area
13 - Lost In Translation
14 - The Matrix - He points out how The Matrix is made less cool because of its lame sequels (regardless of having Monica Bellucci in that red dress).
15 - Memories of Murder
16 - Police Story 3
17 - Shaun of the Dead
18 - Speed - Speed??? Speed can really only count as guilty pleasure, at best.
19 - Team America
20 - Unbreakable - Can anyone really say M. Knight Shamamalanalan's name right? I can't agree on his suggested tag line for Unbreakable. The greatest thing about that movie was that you had no idea what it was until your ass was sitting in the theatre.

Is it me or is Tarantino feeling a little irrelevant? It could be blamed on the last two blunders he's released. Hopefully Inglorious Basterds won't suck.

PS. What the hell is up with the footage for Death Proof on the bottom? Of all his movies he has that going on down there?

Say, how about all the names from Bitter Balcony each make their own top 20 list and post it here? then we well really know what are we talking about.

well, last time I was stunt by Tarantino's work was a bit while ago. Honestly I am not sure how much of making this list is counted as self promotion.

It is alright to enjoy movies like Blade and Speed and Police Story 3 for sure, but list them on your top twenty list? i am not sure if this is the Tarantino I know now.

Pretty strong selection by Q. I'm surprised Oldboy isn't on the list since he has about half of his top 20 come from Asia. Von Trier is the man, by the way!
