George Lucas Strikes Back: The REAL story behind the prequels

If only this was the truth. Instead we have to suffer with three terrible prequels and a series of mediocre shows, at best.

Oh yeah, and that "Indiana Jones" film. Remember kids, when you end a series make sure you kill all desire to see another sequel. Think "Pirates of the Caribbean." Too soon?

Sean Young posts Blade Runner set polaroids - and they are pretty damn cool

Bitter, Bitter Balcony, Movie Review,

Sean Young has proven to be cool peeps and has posted some great Polaroids (how fitting for a retro look back?) from her days on the set of “Blade Runner.”

As a short backstory, I surf the bowels of Tumblr for all things that I have a big puffy heart for. One of them is, of course, “Blade Runner.” During the past few weeks I kept seeing these great Polaroids from the set of the 1984 disappointment and future cult classic. I didn’t know who the source of these images were since they were showing up on various blogs with no reference to the source of the Polaroid.

As I surfed today I found another great pic, this time with Ridley Scott, and a link. The link led me back through three blogs and finally to a post that mentioned that the source of these images was Sean Young herself, which is prominent in most/all of these images.

You can see the entire collection on her site HERE. I’ve taken the liberty to post the best once, in my opinion, below.

Crypticon starts this Friday! #HorrorConvention

Bitter, Bitter Balcony, Movie Review,

Crypticon is a Seattle-based horror film convention that brings fans and their favorite horror filmmakers together in a weekend of gory fun and rare merchandise that only true fans can track down. Last year proved to be a fun experience, pics here, and Eric Morgret was kind enough to volunteer his time to talk with us about the convention and horror films in general.

If you are a fan of zombies, vampires or slasher nut jobs you owe it to yourself to venture outside the dark den where you play “Dawn of the Dead” in an endless loop and rub elbows with horror stars like Bill Moseley, PJ Soles, Linnea Quigley, Barbara Magnolfi and Aaron Smolinski. Heck they even have Frank Dux! Remember “Blood Sport”? It was about him.

There is plenty to do like watch horror films, listen to panels discussing the best and worst of horror films or peruse the many vendors and all their goods.

It should prove to be a fun gore-filled weekend and we’d love to see you, the true fans, out there with us.
