Paranormal Activity Makes BB Think Twice Before We Ask A Girl To Move In!!!

Bitter, Bitter Balcony, Movie Review, Paranormal Activity 2007Oren PeliOren PeliKatie Featherston, Micah Sloat Paranormal Activity(2007)

Subtle noises and a possessed Ouija board are the stars in the most successful movie of the year “Paranormal Activity.”

The horror tale, taking place in a suburban San Diego home, follows young couple Katie (Katie Featherston) and Micah (Micah Sloat), who have recently moved in together. Happy and playful, the lovers seem to have a healthy relationship, in spite of Katie’s one tiny secret: she is haunted by a demon (still not as bad as PMS). Micah, incredulous and excited about his girlfriend's beezelbum, sets up a camera and sound recorder program to pick up any traces of the menace. Coincidentally, Micah plies up enough footage to create a linear, plot-structured 90-minute movie.

Terminator: Salvation - Consider interest in the series terminated!

Terminator: Salvation

First, we’ll start this “Terminator Salvation” review with saying that this series should have ended at “T-2”. It is with some hesitation that the Bitter Balcony peeps even found “T-3”enjoyable. Bitter Balcony found this article by New York Times Film Critic A.O Scott about his views on the 2000's decade for cinema and it's future legacy. Mr. Scott also refers to the evolution of film commentary and how some of the newer talent that emerged like Peter Jackson or Christopher Nolan will be placed in film.

It has been a rather mediocre era for American Cinema, but in the positive side, the evolution of Animation and Documentary as artistically and commercially viable genres could define our contribution to the art(The Pixar films, Michael Moore's work).

Metal Gear vs Paul W.S. Anderson!

Metal Gear vs Paul W.S. Anderson

Paul W.S. Anderson is expressing interest in adapting Metal Gear Solid to the big screen. To this we say, “Please Zod, don’t let this happen!”

Paul W.S. Anderson was lucky that his adaptation to the 1995’s “Resident Evil” was entertaining. His track record since then… Well, it’s not that great.

Metal Gear is a great video game that has been around for quite some time. The story is complex as are the characters. The involvement of Anderson would only prove disastrous to this movie. It would be hard enough for a very talented writer to adapt the story of “Metal Gear Solid” into a single 2-hour movie...
